Fun Finds for an Irish Bridal Shower
Irish Lace, Lavender, Tradtional Treats and Lots of Love
Incorporate a little Ireland into your bridal shower by including some of these beauties into your plans. From table decor to food to colors, your shower can include some Irish luck and Irish charm!
Naturally when you think of Ireland, you think of green. Fresh and inviting. Green and white makes a lovely Irish wedding shower, however, you may choose to also incorporate the brides favorite color or the flag colors (green, white and orange). The green you choose can be an earthy sage green, a pale celery green or a happy Kelly green, giving you a wide range of looks. So pick your colors and start planning! Stick to those colors to create a pleasing, consistent look.
Five Fab Finds
Irish Lace shortbread. This wonderful pan from Brown Bag Cookie Molds makes sweet treat just fit for tea. The shamrock design can be accented with color or not. There is an equally interesting celtic design we love. Pieces of this shortbread in bags with a green bow would make charming favors.
Irish Lace Cake. Wow! This marvelous design not only caputres Irish lace, but the instructions are great. Definately possible for a cake maker with a little bit of pastry bag experience.
With stunning old-fashioned appeal, this cake would be a nice tie-in to the tradition of giving the bride a hankercheif to carry in the wedding, fold and use for an infant hat, and then use at that baby's wedding.
Lavender Party Favors. Think Ireland. Fresh, green, moors covered in heather. Lavender growing. A party favor that will be popular with every guest who has a sense of smell.Lavender Bee Farm has sachets, dried lavender flower and more. We are also intrigued with the idea of this lovely lavender lemon cake, which would be great on your dessert buffet.
Irish Coffee Recipe Serve your favorite version of Irish coffee at the shower. For the non-coffee drinkers, offer mulled wine, tea and spiced cider. Comfort beverages can add charm to the shower with the use of china cups or interesting glassware. Glass Irish coffee cups could make delightful favors, especially with a horseshoe charm tied to the handle with a green string and a recipe tucked inside.
Easy Irish Recipes for your party. If you don't have old family favorites, consider the menu for an irish meal from this awesome article and the St. Patrick's Day menus like BettyCrocker.com has. It does not have to be the middle of March for a celebration with Irish food specialities.
